Under Article 4.1 of the General Data Protection Regulation, personal data is defined as:
Any information relating to an identified natural person or natural person who may be identified (‘data subject’); a natural person who may be identified is a person who can be identified directly or indirectly,
location, online identifier or one or more signs specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that individual;
What personal data do we collect and process?
The personal data we may process in the process of our work are:
- Name, surname, telephone, e-mail, position (of representatives of a client / sender/ recipient/ carrier, etc. ⁇ customer number; address of receipt/delivery of goods – for the purposes of communication and preparation of accompanying documentation in the process of enquiry, bidding and performance of logistics services;
- Name, EGN, ID card data – in the customs processing of your goods;
- Name, company, email, phone – when filling in an online contact form and requesting information;
- Name, surname, e-mail, telephone, company of employees of our suppliers, subcontractors and partners – in connection with communication on requests and supplies of goods and services;
- Video recording – when visiting the company’s buildings;
- Name, email, phone – for direct marketing purposes;
Why do we need it and on what basis do we process your personal data?
We process your personal data that is necessary for:
- the processing of enquiries and the execution of freight requests and the execution of logistics services contracts – on the basis of a contract or preliminary steps for the performance of a contract;
- informing our customers about changes to our terms of service – on the basis of contract performance, as well as on the basis of the company’s legitimate interests;
- communication with our suppliers and their employees when purchasing goods and services for the needs of the company – on the basis of contract performance or preliminary steps for contract performance;
- ensuring the security of the employees, cargo and assets of GETCARGO LTD – on the basis of the legitimate interests of the company;
- providing third parties – senders, recipients, subcontractors and partners in the supply chain – on the basis of contract execution or preliminary steps for contract execution;
- Provision of third parties – state-authorised bodies (customs, etc.). (i) on the basis of the legal obligations of GETCARGO LTD, as well as in connection with the performance of a service contract (e.g. in customs processing);
- direct marketing, including by advertising agencies, on the basis of the legitimate interest of the company, as well as on the basis of the subject’s consent.
What do we do with the personal data collected?
Your personal data is processed by GETCARGO Ltd. on the territory of the European Union. The hosting and storage of your data are carried out within the European Union by a decision on an adequate level of protection.
The Company processes your personal data with automated electronic systems and with non-automatic means – in paper form.
All electronic and paper media containing personal data are duly protected by the relevant organisational and technical measures as required by EU Regulation 2016/679 (EU GDPR).
The Company provides your personal data (contact data, place of taking/delivery of cargo, etc.) to third parties in connection with the implementation of the logistics service/contract, such as carriers, agents and partners established within the European Union and beyond.
When we deliver the cargo (to individuals), our employee will ask you to identify with an identity document, the data from which they will not be processed.
Commercial communications
Our employees, on the basis of the company’s legitimate interest, may send you messages or contact you by telephone using the contact details available in public registers to present the services of GODCARGO.
You have the choice to opt out of receiving this type of message at any time via the link available in any email containing such type of message.
How long do we store your personal data?
We store your data for the period of performance of the purposes for which it has been collected and subject to the relevant regulatory requirement, as follows:
- The accounting documents and the accompanying information on the performance of contracts/applications shall be kept for 10 ⁇ 1 years under the Accounting Act;
- Documents relating to customs handling of goods shall be kept for 10 years under the Customs Act.
- All other documents are archived for a period of up to 5 years;
- Videos are stored for up to 30 days.
Upon expiry of the specified period, your data will be destroyed.
What are your rights?
Right to access and provide a copy of your personal data.
If so, you may gain access to your personal data and to certain information about how they are processed;
- Right to rectify your personal data which is inaccurate or incomplete.
You have the right to request the correction of your personal data which is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it has been collected or otherwise processed, and in other cases provided for in the Regulation, for example, if you wish to withdraw the data.

If you challenge the accuracy of your personal data for a period that allows us to verify it, as well as in other cases provided for in the Regulation, you may request a restriction on the processing of your personal data.
Right of portability
You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, widely used and machine-readable format, and the right to transfer this personal data to another personal data controller: when processing such data
- is based on consent or a contract with us and
- It is done in an automated way.
When you have exercised your right to portability, you have the right to ask the Company directly to transfer your personal data to another controller when technically feasible.
Right of objection
You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object to the processing of personal data relating to you, which is based on the Company’s legitimate interests.

We will consider your request and within 30 days of receipt you will receive a reply. If necessary, this period may be extended by another two months, depending on the complexity and number of requests for which we will inform you in a timely manner.
If you believe that your personal data has not been processed lawfully, you can contact the Supervisory Authority in the Republic of Bulgaria.
